my 2000 stang has cobra knock off wheels,

I have neglected them, I have been thinking about trying to get them looking good again, but not sure how to go about it.

I met a guy at the carshow the other selling "California custom" products, after seeing what their "Aluminum De oxidizer" did to a old diamond plate tool box, I was willing to give it a shot

about 25-30 min later the sun went down ( I hate these short days)

I got 3/5 the way done

Ill finish the wheel tomorrow, good thing I don't have to drive that car tomorrow.

paint has not been as neglected , I used to put the stock wheels and snow tires on the v6, 2 years ago I didn't buy new snow tires so the wheels pulled winter duty, and never had the motivation to clean them up since...

Get yourself some of the stuff in the link below if you want to protect your work. I put the coating on the polished lips of my wheels about 3-4 months ago and they look just as good as the day I buffed them. My car is not garaged and gets rained on frequently being in Houston.

hmm may look into that for my motorcycle frame,
I tried this years ago

Diamond Clear Gloss for Bare Metal

automatic car wash blew about 1/2 of it off :(

I don't want to go through that again.

I've used the pressure gun at the car wash once on them since I put the coating on and nothing happened. I always wash my car at home but this time it was a last minute deal. This stuff works I have no water spots and I no longer have to buff/polish these damn things.
