Found an unknown wire. need help.

I was doing some cleaning under the hood last night and noticed this hanging down on the driver side of the engine bay. I have no clue where it goes to. The wire is really long. It looks like it goes somewhere up underneath but i dunno. anyone have any idea?

Hood light connector. I'm guessing with the Cervinis hood you don't have the hood light installed?

that makes perfect sense. What got me confused was how it was hanging down where i could see it from looking into my fender well. Thanks.
