FR500 steering wheel, what's the difference?

Found a 95 GT Vert being parted a mile from my house today, took a look and it was purchased to be a donor for a 50 ford pickup.

I got a few smalls from it but it has what I think is the FR500 steering wheel, it looks just like the one in my 98 Cobra in that it's 15 inches wide and leather wrapped.

Is this the FR500 wheel and what makes it special/different, also what's it worth in nice condition?, just a light wear on the leather in a few spots but not ugly at all, sorry but I can't get pics to post.

Latemodel restoration have replicas for sale right now for pic reference. They have perforated leather in areas and are thicker. There's a noticeable difference between that and stock when you see them side by side.

Ok, I get it, not an FR500, neither is mine, I can see where it's nice to have, I had to put a wrap on my wheel the first week I had the car.

Leather was so smooth I couldn't grip the wheel, almost slippery, scary.
