Coming home from a buddy's house tonight.I'm sitting at a light and this 10 year old 4/door civic pulls next to me young kid alone in it. I thought he might go so, I'm ready when the light changes. It turns green he goes then I do the same! I'm right next to him I grab a good 2'nd and I've got him bye a car (he's got a 5/speed also) well into 3'rd gear I'm about 3 cars in front! I shift to 4'th and then 5'th and coast down a little and then.....you guessed it the famous ricer fly bye!!!
This is a story I would normally NEVER post here but.... I'm driving my winter beater!!..1989 Escort GT!!! 1.9 HO, 141,000 miles sloppy as hell shifter. Rust every where. Hell, I just put her in a ditch last week...Tore up the front bumper cover. The race wasn't even close!! And just think the little kid would have done the same thing if I was in my Cobra! LOL

LOL, nice kill!

Man I was kind of wondering for a second, with you only pulling three cars by fourth I thought you might be missing all your gears until I read you were driving the Escort. LOL!

Great kill story! My previous rides included a '86 Mercury XR3 and a '89 Escort GT. Great little cars. That "hemi" 1.9 fears no rice!!!
