I am the second owner of a 2001 Mustang GT, with the premium Mach 460 sound system. I purchased it from Bowditch Ford in Virginia. I bought it with about 25k miles on the car. It was my daily driver for quite some time, in the fall of 2010 I decided to do the work.

- Swapped in an 03 Cobra motor (with about 25k miles on it) and a T56 (6spd) tranny. The weak point of those transmissions was the input shaft, so I upgraded it. The motor has a Metco pulley system, Fore Precision fuel with twin Ford GT hats, 60# injectors, and a Cobra fuel tank swap. It also has an acufab oval throttle body, and cold air intake.
- The motor’s original Eaton supercharger was swapped for a 2.3L Whipplecharger System.
- Motor has Kooks Long Tube headers with 1-7/8” primaries
- Suspension has been upgraded with a full kit from Maximum Motorsports to include braces, full length sub frame connectors, tubular K-Member with coil overs.
- The differential was upgraded to a 3.73 rear gear from Ford Racing with upgraded 31 spline axle’s. The rear gear oil is Royal Purple.
- Transmission oil is Royal Purple
- Engine oil is Royal Purple
- The car makes 590 hp and 540 tq at the wheels on 18 psi. I get about 21 mpg on the highway as long as you keep out of the boost.
- I upgraded the stock brakes with those from a Cobra, so bigger rotors, calipers, with Hawk brake pads.
- The transmissions shifter is a short throw system from MGW
- The interior is stock, all black interior save for the A-Pillar gauges to monitor air/fuel and boost, and a Simco gage cluster
- Winter of 2010 I swapped the stock head unit with a JVC Chameleon Head Unit, its a touch screen that plays DVD’s and CD’s, has a remote that works. I also installed new speakers in the doors. The two rear speakers work and the tweeters work as well.
- Rims are an offset of Bullet deep dish, 18x9 front wrapped in BFG KDW2 275/35R18, rear’s are 18x10 wrapped in BFG KDW2 295/35R18.
- Exhaust past the kooks long tube headers I mentioned are an X-Pipe from Ford Racing and Borla
- The headlights were converted to an HID system, smoked headlights from an 01 Cobra R
- I removed the honey comb grill for a grill delete kit from the same body style’s Mach 1
- I installed a Mach 1 lower valence lip as well
- Since the stock hood wouldn’t clear the blower, I had to install a fiberglass one with a 3” cowl (painted to match the body)
- Installed a bullet fuel door

As it sits, the body has 82k miles on it, the motor was swapped in at about 73-75k miles on it. I drove it from NC to AZ where it was put into my grandfathers garage for 3 years that I was overseas. He kept it inside his garage, with a battery system, and stabil in the fuel.

I am asking $17000 for it and am willing to negotiate.

As to why I am selling it? Its a great car and a fun project, but I am currently in a position with work that is keeping me from enjoying it to its fullest so its time to sell.
I would like to see the car go to an owner who will enjoy it as much as I do.

Nice ride man! I had over 20k into my saleen 2V before I started my 4V swap with a 2.3 whipple and t56 probably well over 10k now just purchased some kooks longs as well. You'd be saving the next owner 10 plus k with this deal.
