FS:GT500 VMP Ported & Welded M122 Supercharger

2014Pics029_zps38c85e53.jpg
[/IMG]I'm looking to sell an M122 supercharger which
was fully ported and welded by VMP. This unit
is fresh from the machine shop and still has the
rotor pack removed, which will be included. VMP Tuning
had never tested it because at the time they were
focusing mainly on their TVS versions instead. Only
reason for sale is that I have lost interest in it because
I've decided to sell my GT500 that's all. Also does not
include the elbow. I'd like to get $475.00 for it including
Fedex Ground shipping. Thanks, Eric

Hello there pics will be coming soon. It has never been run
since the porting was completed. As far as expected power
gains are concerned, I would estimate that it should produce
higher power levels due to more material removal than most
other typical porting companies. Should easily make well over
600whp with all supporting mods on a dynojet. I've never seen
such an extensive port job with all the rewelding on an M122 before.

Prob be worth your while to contact vmp and see if you can get some more info on it. If the work was that extensive I'm sure they remember it.

Hi again. The pictures have just been posted with Photobucket.
As far as contacting VMP is concerned, I did email BJ over there
a while ago and he said that it was fresh from the machine shop
and was never actually tested but didn't elaborate on it anymore
than that unfortunately. Thanks, Eric

We saw very nice gains with the one we did a couple years ago. Our design was much different tho. We used a formed piece and cut much deeper into the case. We went past the egr all the way to the floor. The vac was almost zero measured pre-rotor meaning the rotors were getting all the air they could. Iat dropped some also as we were able to max out the rotors at a slower speed and yes it made very nice numbers.

We also increased the volume and shape of the rear wall. Took several attempts to get the velocities right but did work. On one of them we actually lost performance as the velocities were jacked up due to air flow. You really need to be careful when tinkering

no problem.. porting is expensive. We pretty much stopped as too much time is involved. We would have to charge about $1000 for the work to make it worth our time. For that amount a person could get a 2013 tvs for about another grand and they are still a better blower.

$600 is cheap imo
