Not true. They were available to the public, though only through Saleen. I purchased a set back in 99-2000. They've since been discontinued though ... too bad, they're really nice wheels.

yes you would think so, i had it parked in one garage and had to drive in to the other and it sunk big time so its still stuck in that garage,
