I changed my fuel filter last night and took the car out for a test drive. I don't know if my mind thinks my car should be faster or feel stronger, or should it actually feel stronger after changing the fuel filter. I'm pretty sure it has never been changed. I bought the car with 44K on it and it now has 56K on it, pretty sure previous owner didnt change a thing on it except for oil. Should a car feel stronger after changing the filter out? I know that its obviously getting cleaner fuel. Thanks

Tim

BTW- I just ordered some Hawk brake pads! Can't wait till they get here!

Typically no, the injectors being cleaned may give your engine a little more perkiness but not the fuel filter.

Mine usually feels like it's running better after I change mine but it doesn't feel "stronger". But then again, usually I change mine when I put in a fresh Royal Purple oil change and run some fuel system cleaner at the same time.
