Fuel pump strainers

I have dual Ford GT pumps and I used the "right angle" stariners that came with them since I got the tanks and pumps used. anyway the strainers dont fit and are tearing a bit. What is the best strainer to use and where do i get it?

My boots fell apart and sucked the little pieces into the pumps and burned them up !

I figured some kind of fuel additive used by original owner was the bad guy !

anybody know if there are better made strainers than stock ford ?

If you have been also searching but not having good results you might also try "fuel pump sock".

I called Lethal and they said they didnt have em. I did see the link for those Airtex, but thought they were talkin bout the Cobra pumps not the GT. Are they universal?
