So here it is, a lamp I built using the flywheel, crank and cam from a 1961 Austin Healey 3.0l inline six. The crank had been under my dads deck for years and when we tore out the deck I had the idea to repurpose the old crank. I media blasted the crank and then welded the cam to the crank. I also performed a little patina magic to the cam and the black and galvanized pipe I used for the lighting fixture to give it a more uniform appearance and it's using 40 watt Edison bulbs.

Thanks, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I forgot to put it in the OP but my guess it it weighs around 130lbs.

I also forgot to mention that the reason it has the dark, somewhat shiny finish is that I treated it with Penetrol which will preserve the metal as is so it shouldn't change over time.

Very cool! We actually just weighed the crank out of my dad's 67 gt500 the other day, and it weighed about 65 pounds.
