What seems to be the best gas mileage you guys are getting around, goning easy on the throttle? (Around twon Def - Under 50 mphs, medium traffic, once or twice on the freeway @ 65mph)

What seems to be your best mileage on the freeway cruising @ 60 to 65 mph, going long distances?

The reason why I ask is because my truck gets about 11-12 mpg in town, going very easy and about 17-18 mpg on the highway @ 60-65mph. I thought maybe this is different then others.

Oh, using the california 91 oct. gas as well.

Thanks for the thoughts

I'd say from my experience that your city mileage is right on the money. As far as 18mpg on the highway, I would be content with that number. I know that the 01 I had for a very, very brief period got about 10-11 mpg in town, more like 8 or 9 when having fun with my right foot. Of course 3.73 vs 3.55 diffs will account for some mpg difference between the 01 and 99-00 L's.
Hehe, gas mileage should be the last thing on a L owners mind.

I would have to agree with wuplash. I get about 13-14mph around town and a steady 80mph on the highway gives me about 16-17mph. I can however make those numbers drop! Not bad considering the N/A 5.4l does about the same.
