OK, so I'm getting depressed because I can't spend much more money on this car to get it the way I would want it since I'm moving and need to save money. :bash: The car is a 1989 LX...
Here are the goodies:
302 bored out to 306 c.i. and balanced
Speed Pro 10.5:1 compression pistons (forged)
ARP Head & Rod bolts
F303 Camshaft
70mm Throttle body
Cobra Upper Intake
Cold Air Intake (not on/installed at the moment)
75mm MAF (not on it either)
Brand new IAC and PCV Valve
160 deg. Thermostat
1 5/8" BBK Shorty Headers
Catted H pipe (only 2 magnaflow high flow cats)
Flowmaster 2-chamber mufflers
Custom 2.5" muffler back exhaust with chrome tips
*Exhaust is 2.5" from the headers all the way to the back with 3" tips
3.73 gears with correct speedo gear (21 tooth)
New clutches in LSD
5 lug conversion (in the process of putting brand new 5 lug spindles in front)
Subframe connectors
4 wheel disc brakes
95 cobra wheels (tires have plenty of thread left.)
Brand new CLEAR headlights
New Water pump and Fan clutch
The car is lowered but I think the previous owner just cut the springs.
It has a new paint job but to me it could have been done better.
What's wrong with the car:
*No e-brake cable
No A/C
No smog pump (could be good or bad, depending on where you live)
*No charcoal canister so you migh smell gas sometimes.
*Pass. rear view mirror doesn't work, and driver's side works sometimes.
No radio
Windshield has small crack on pass. side
Speedo cable isn't hooked up (I have it, just have to install it)
P/W's work but make noise when going up/down
No spare tire, jack OR carpet in trunk
No rear O2 sensors (check engine light does not come one, and I don't think there's a programmer or something, so I guess the previous owner disabled it)
*Kick panels need screws to hold them in place
*Missing scuff/sill plates
*Bad weatherstrip around both doors
*No pass. seat belts.
Tranny hard to down shift to 1st
Rear defroster does not work
Antenna is not installed but I do have it.
2 Body moulding pieces missing (see pics. front of doors)
The car used to be blue/blue. The new paint is gray, and the prev. owner did a piss poor job of painting black some interior pieces, and leaving other pieces off, and some wires showing. This is what I was planning to make perfect but other things needed more attention and I'm going over budget.
* means I have ordered/will order these parts. Whoever buys it will get the parts I haven't installed with the car, of course.
The previous owner is a motherphucker and didn't mention a lot of stuff (which I either fixed or DID mention above), so I never thought I had to invest as much $$ as I have now. I guess if anyone is interested on a project car for the summer, this would be a good option. Asking $5000, somewhat negotiable.
