gears and roll on acceleration

For a stock pullied car, would a change to 3.90's or 4.10's result in better roll on acceleration...in town speeds and freeway speeds.

Not freeway speeds (you will actually lose top end), but town speeds and off the line they will result in quicker acceleration. If you ever plan on changing the pulley though, I think a gear swap right now would be absolutely pointless.
