Gears....who here knows?

I recently acquired this GT-500, so now I have a GT to tinker with.

My question, because I'm still learning about these cars. :shrug:

I would like to tinker with the gear ratios, "3rd member", on the GT, then if I likey, I'll swap them in the GT-500.

What are my options regarding the gears ratios? What choices are there, I only know of the 4:10 option.

Will the gears be inner-changable? Will the choices not be the same for both rides?

Cost? Has anyone already done this, or maybe know someone who has?

Ford 8.8 in both cars. GT has 3.31 or 3.55 stock, GT500 has 3.31 stock. Also available are 2.73, 3.08, 3.27 (replaced by 3.31) 3.73, 3.90 (aftermarket only, not Ford) 4.10 and 4.56

Gear sets run about 190 to 230 a set, depending on ratio. You can figure about 4 hours labor at your local rate or install them yourself.
