getting closer to my 1st 11 second pass

What up Guys,
Haven't posted on here in a while. Went to the track Friday night. Cool weather but the DA wasn't that good. I think it was about 1625 when i made my 1st pass. I had 2 new PB's.
1/8 mile---7.75 @91 mph
1/4 mile---12.08 115 mph:rockon:
Just about there. Only mods is hushpower mufflers,3.73 gear,worn out 275/40/17 drag radials and tune. the gear hurt my 1/4 mile--having to go to 5th about 50 or so feet from the line. Going back Friday night and try again. I'll keep you guys posted. Hopefully my next post will be with an 11 second slip.

I run a 26" tire with 3.73's and don't shift into 5th in the quarter...

what kind of car. I have a 2011 Mustang GT. These cars have a low 1st gear.

12.08@115 Id have to guess your 60 ft isnt so good, With a 1.6 60 ft you should be in the 11.70s EASY at that MPH.

the 60 ft sucks. only a 1.77. can't get a handle on it. Gonna put some slicks on it in the next few months

What tire pressure are you running your radials on? My friend (with an 03 cobra) and I found a good balance between 12-18psi.

I only ask because a lot of the people that went to strip last time never thought to check, and when I took the gauge to their tires they were blowing out scorching hot air from a 50+psi filled tired.

EDIT: NVM, a 1.77 60' is pretty respectable, I was only managing a 2.05, and my friend with radials was only grabbing 1.8ish.

Went back to the track today. Finally went an 11.97 @115 1.70 60ft. The car is pretty much stock. 3.73 gear,tune and 26 x 10 MT slicks with 20 inch front rims. I'm pretty sure with a smaller front rim i could possibly get 11.70's.
Also went a PB in the 1/8.--7.67 @91 mph:banana:

If you guys drive cobra's or any other mustang other than a new 5.0 the transmissions are geared different. The 6 speed in the 5.0 has a 3.66 1st gear. 5th gear is 1 to 1 whereas 4th gear in your cars would be 1 to 1.
