you're thinking of Skylar Deleon, He was an extra on the show. He wasn't an actual ranger. He got convicted of 3 murders and is on death row now.

On a sadder note, The yellow ranger was killed back in 01. She was involved in a car accident in the frisco area. RIP Trini.

i believe the power rangers were a big hit in japan, so someone here bought the right to them and then used the american actors for the "plot" and used the japan footage from the fight scenes.

What this dude said. The "plot" portion of the show was with the American actors and the action was straight from the Japanese show Super Sentai which has been a huge hit in Japan since the 70s that was dubbed over using the American actors. In reality the plot of Super Sentai was waaaayyyyy different then what we saw as kids.
