good idea?

I was on V8SHO.com and saw a how to on a fan over ride switch and I was just wondering if it would be a good idea and is there any major risks involved like killing the fan motors? What temp thermostat is on the V8? Would it hurt anything to put a 170 in it?

I don't think a fan switch would really benefit anything besides cooling say in between drag strip passes possibly. As for the t-stat....I'm not really sure on that one, intially, I wouldn't think it would hurt anything, but I know my Duratec never really ran hot in the first place...
