I've had a really hard time finding some decent films to watch lately. It's not that there aren't any out there, but I have watched a good majority of them already.

Going to give Frost/Nixon a watch tonight. Might pick up The Reader sometime this weekend. Both movies that I have been meaning to watch but haven't gotten around to yet. Is Valkyrie any good? I don't really like Cruise (He's a shitty actor), but if it's good enough I would watch it.

Any newish releases that you would suggest?

No Country For Old Men. Really great movie I thought, great story. Going to be picking it up on blu ray soon. If your into action/violence the newest Rambo is killer (pun intended).

Also would look into the newest Bond movies, I dont know if your into the series, but Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace are stellar. Daniel Craig plays the role really well. I just bought both on blu ray a few days ago, and just got done watching QOS not 10 mins ago. Its cool because Casino Royale story wise is the very 1st Bond film, its where he reaches 00 status. Another cool thing about these 2 movies are their sequals. Or QOS is a direct sequal to CR, it literally picks up where CR ended. I beleive this is a 1st for the franchise. Really really good movies. I picked up CR sometime last year and didnt watch it until months after I bought it as I wasnt expecting too much, but it was the complete opposite of what I was anticipating. Just give it a try if you havent already.

Watched them already, that's my predicament. The new Rambo was shit, No Country was good though. When he was first introduced, I thought Craig was going to be a terrible Bond. He has proven me wrong however.

I also thought Taken was pretty awesome. He is definitely a complete bad ass. Other good movies I have seen recently..

-Curious Case of Benjamin Button
-Gran Torino

I'll add if I think of any more.

Didnt like Rambo? I thought it was a fun movie, nothing spectacular, but a good action/gore flick. No big deal, glad to hear you like No Country and the new Bond films, and yes Craig is quite the perfect fit for Bond imo.

Kinda hard to just start naming movies as im not sure what genres you like. Also dont want to start naming movies just for the hell of it, but, what the hell!? lol

Devils Rejects - Directed by Rob Zombie, I really enjoyed, pretty twisted, but I loved it. Worth a check.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Caught this on hbo last week, gotta say it had some pretty damn funny parts in it, its good for a couple laughs, wouldnt rush to buy it or anything, but if your wanting a decent comedy it delivers pretty good.

Joy Ride - Good thriller movie. I actually enjoyed Paul Walker in this film. Definately should check it out. Hope it comes out on blu ray.

28 Days Later - Always enjoyed this film, people get infected with rage, turn to zombies, and theres a couple survivors. Pulls off this formula pretty good indeed.

Sorry for the lack of thought, recently gave all my old dvds away to my brother, and slowly getting my movies in blu ray. Rambo is one I have in blu ray, along with the 2 Bond films, which is why I mentioned them 1st lol. Will come up with better material later.

Valykrie is good. Grand Torino is probably one of my favorite movies now. Taken was pretty good....not exactly the type of role I expected for Liam Neeson but he did well. I liked the new tyson movie(no idea if that's out on DVD in the states). I'll have to go through my book of movies to see what's newer that was good....but there hasn't been alot. Side note....The Spirit was a lame movie, but Eva Mendes is hot as **** and she has a great ass shot in that movie.

Edit: Oh yeah....flash of genius wasn't bad, it's a car movie..but not really.

Some movies I've found interesting and have caught my attention (most movies can't)

Crank 1/2
Role Models
Step Brothers
Stop Loss (Good Military movie)
Taken
The Alphabet Killer (I love Eliza Dushku, so naturally I like this one)
The House Bunny
The Messengers
The Strangers
The Uninvited
Transporter 1/2/3
Yes Man (kinda stupid, but it had its funny parts)

It's a mixture of Action/Comedy/Drama/Horror

How could you not like the new Rambo? He shot a freakin arrow through some guys head then the guy fell over onto a landmine and exploded. That is AWESOME!

Taken is good, Role Models was hilarious. Valkyrie wasn't bad, but I agree with the OP that Cruise is a crappy actor (except in Tropic Thunder, he did pretty well).

On a side note, I just can't understand everyone's obsession with No Country for Old Men. It's one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. The villain was pretty cool, and Tommy Lee Jones had a few good lines, but the story was basically crap, not to mention it had the worst ending in the history of movies.

I liked the movie Wanted. Ong Bak-Mai Tai Warrior is good. Equilibrium, Over the top are some older ones. Transporter 3 wasn't to bad either. Iron man and the new Hulk are pretty good as well. Crap, these are all action movies:) I love action!!!

+1 on Role Models. Hilarious. And it had Elizabeth Banks, who is just the cutest little thing.

"Shoot 'Em Up," it's a couple of years old, now, but if you haven't seen it you are missing the best action-spoof movie of all time. And it has Monica Belluci in it. Even if you don't like the movie, you can just stare at Monica.

Let the right one in.

An unusual but pretty good vampire movie.

*It's subtitled, so if you are a typical american, your head will explode*
