I'm just days away from accepting a job offer to work for a company that I've wanted to work for for quite some time. They have given me a compensation package I really can't refuse, with a relocation package fit for an executive. This will be my golden ticket to get out of my house in NY and find a better place to raise my 2 young kids (ages 3 years and 8 months).

Deciding to relocate is tough enough to consider. But I also have a choice between 2 cities to work from:

1) Greenville, South Carolina
2) Westlake, Ohio

I've had very minimal time in each city, but I already have an idea which may be better for us. I'd like to know from other forum members here who either live in these cities, or have spent a good amount of time there to give me some feedback.

Thanks!

Westlake is a very nice city, close to downtown if you want to take the family to see the Browns, Indians or Cavs. Maybe get a babysitter and hit the casino. A lot of stuff to do around the area if you like the outdoors.

I would say South Carolina, brother! The Carolina's are growing pretty good in a lot of ways, so I think you'd be good there. It's a good place to raise a family too.

I work in the commercial and residential relocation industry (moving industry) more people are leaving Ohio then moving to it. I would go SC all day.

Who's moving you?
