After running the strip and getting numbers for the past year I decided to finally get on the dyno (it was free with A/F :):):) after all if its for free its for me unless it is an STD).........

At the track I usually run 7.65 1/8 slip or 12.10 in the 1/4 slip

Here is what the truck made

I was pretty happy with 403/479 :eek:ldtu:

sorry for the intrusion here, i know it's a noob questions, but what kind of dyno's are there? i thought most of them were the ones you drive on with the rollers under the rear wheels... now are those considered dyno? and i know there's some that actually attach to the real hub after removing the wheels... and why are the mustang one's inaccurate? again sorry for the questions but i just got curious

Mustang dynamometers are THE most accurate. You can simulate load by weight, air resistance, etc.

Their are all kinds of different "dyno's". Yes soem will attach to the hub's, some are roller style dyno's on trailers, some are installed in the ground, and some are bolted down and use a lift. There are also engine and motor (<-- means electric, you knumbskulls), dyno's, and many other dyno's for use on othe rtype of equipment and automotive purposes.

The main thing is that the dyno is operated correctly and more imporntantly that the tuning being performed on the dyno is being done correctly if that is what you are doing. I have some big names inaccurately operate dyno's and/or vehciles on a dyno, you'd be suprised... Stan
