[QUOTE="quad, post: 4942459, member: 17952"] I built my own system recently: It cost me about $2500 including Vista Ulitmate 64 Bit Intel Pentium D System Case: ThermalTake Armor VA8000BWS Full Tower w/Antec 650W TP3 PSU Processor: Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz) Retail Cooling: Retail HSF Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium Memory: 2x1GB Corsair XMS2-6400 (TWIN2X2048-6400C4) Hard Drive: 1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA Video Card: GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB Monitor: Acer 22" LCD Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Speakers: Logitech THX Z-5300e 5.1 Speakers DVD-/+RW: Liteon 18x DVD+RW/-RW + Lightscribe Communications: Onboard LAN Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution Laser Cordless Mouse Keyboard: Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit Everything except the mobo was purchased at a few local shops. I could have shaved $150-200 off the price had I shopped around online but it was an impulse buy and I needed gratification - INSTANT! I basically bought the High End Pc Gaming System as recommended by Sharky Extreme in January.
