Alright, I need r&r on the engine w/ fresh short block. Has anyone here used GRC performance in Mission Viejo, or Muscle Motors in Woodland Hills to do this...or any work?
Muscle Motors will install a cast iron block w/ full forged internals from Coast High Performance for 4600, no core charge.
GRC seems to know more what they are talking about and will send my engine to Coast to be rebuilt .020 over, everything checked and cleaned, and will cover it w/ a 3 yr warranty that allows me to run boost applications as long as it is tuned, for a total of 5500...
GRC seems like a better deal to me, but I really dont know much about either shop, except that PowerHeads performance highly recommended GRC and the guy does 80% DOHC engines, and the rest GT sohcs...
anyone have any info?
