The Raybestos PGD412QS ceramic brake pads are great. I broke down and bought the $115.00 set of pads from Kragen and have had them on for a few weeks now. I have driven the car down hills hard, had a couple of fast stops off the freeway and find that the pads don't fade, squeal, or dust.
In the rears I have the standard Raybestos pads and they don't dust. I installed the rear pads quite a few months ago and my initial impression was that they did not stop the car as well as the factory pads. I had to get used to the increased stopping distance; therefore, I thought the new front ceramic brake pads might be a ripoff but I had to try them. Prepared for the worse, I was ready to get even longer stopping distances but quite the contrary, I am very satisfied with the ceramic pads and only wish that Raybestos will also make them for the rear of our cars.
