i have 2.25 inch flowmasters welded into the stock h-pipe.can i put in a 2.5 inch mid pipe without replacing the mufflers or do i have to get 2.5 inch mufflers as well.

I would think you had to get 2.5" mufflers.
Mid-pipe...I'm guessing you mean another H-pipe or X pipe. It'll be fine, I have flows welded into my stock exhaust system and have a Dr. Gas 2 1/2" X pipe on it.
