Guantanamo Bay

Anyone been there? I just got orders for a year. If so, how was it? This will be the first time I have gotten deployed somewhere other than Iraq so I guess I can't complain too much.

What kind of things to do there? How are the living conditions? Thanks in advance

I spent 8 weeks there for refresher training back in 1987. Im sure everything is different now. Mcd's and an outdoor theatre is about all I remember.

my pops was there in the 70's-80's time frame..said he really got into scuba diving there..i'm sure it's change a lot since then but just a thought..good luck, stay frosty!
