Some of you guys are insane!

Just curious, but what is the point of owning some of the Automatics like the ARs, AKs, etc. - Protection from the Army? Collection? Hunting :lol1:?

AR's are not automatics in any form. An automatic AR is a m16. Almost all AK's in the US are only semi auto. You will rarely see people post pictures of full auto weapons for obvious reasons.

This is subject to many opinions, but I would be glad to offer a direction.

You should definately consider the purpose target, defense... and the ultimate drawback... The price range.

For a first pistol I would recommend a Sig Sauer. They are simple and easy to maintain with a good fit and finish. I do not however recommend their DAK trigger system as it has poor feedback. I like their 220 carry personally, but you may have a specific caliber in mind. I never buy a gun that does not feel comfortable in my hands.

I love my Kimber but they are pretty expensive.

You might think that these guns are all a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for...
Do not rule out a used gun! Sig has a certified pre-owned program that makes them fairly affordable, not to mention the numerous gun shows where you can buy/trade guns for far less money. http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCatalogCategory.aspx?categoryid=1

Some of these other guys can probably help you a lot more than me. Good luck.

My brother in law has a collection on par with Glacius', it's part of reason why I haven't divorced his sister yet. ;-)

Nice weapons everyone!

Man, some of the guns in here are beautiful! Personally, my collection consists of an XD-40 Tac. and a Steyr M-40 A1. Great guns, both of them.

Since I didn't see much Steyr love.. (pic of the cool triangle sights for you guys)

Don't have any pictures yet, but I just turned 21 a few months back and just recently picked up a G19 with a Lasermax Sight inside the gun. Also my Father has a Colt AR-15 that has never been fired I am trying to unload off of him!! Will post some pics ASAP!

Toy guns but being able to shoot my friends with them makes them oh so much fun :)

These little b@stards are full auto and can hit man sized targets out to around 60 yards with a short burst...

I miss my dragunov sniper rifle... I used to rip birds heads off with that airsoft gun... I still got my Glock 26c!
