Ordered a Wilson Combat "BulletProof" grip safety, which I'll have to fit myself, and a HiViz front sight I'll need to stake myself. It was dad's 1911 and he'd chop on it too if he was still around.
Since I now realize you can’t read the lettering on the barrel...it’s a Ballistic Advantange 8” 300blk 1:7 pistol length Peformance Series.

Yup. And I think it was @MarcSpaz that said Aero owns BA or supplies their Aero branded barrels. An Aero rep recommended BA to me a couple months ago also.
Try that in the house before you use it. The HL is pretty bright. I have the regular TLR-1 on a G19 and it still blinds me inside. You could even put that one on a rifle.
We are shooting a day/night pistol match next week and I will run my handheld Streamlight on low setting so my eyes can adjust easier when we're dark, because I am designing some stages where we will shoot in the dark, no light.

Yeah it’s really bright. 800 lumens. And it has that strobe mode so I can give the purp a seizure.
I think it’s designed to blind the bad guy but I think it’s not too bright as to blind me.

Hey folks... I pocket carry a lot. And when I am not pocket carrying, I am always looking for the next "comfortable holster".
Well, I kicked it up a notch to NO holster. I bought a clip from a company called TechnaClip. I like this a lot! They make these for a lot of brands and models too.
I am going to take it to the range to be sure the extra weight doesn't upset accuracy or performance. I'll let you know how it goes.

No way I would carry with the trigger not completely covered, especially a striker with no manual safety (palm or slide). But that's just me.
I wasn't gonna say anything, but I gotta have the trigger covered myself, and I pocket carry a G43 in a Galco Pro 800. I don't like manual safeties, de-cockers or anything else, but the trigger has got to be covered for for me.
Spaz is good peeps, but to each his own on this I guess.
My next buy is one of the trigger gaurd trigger covers. It has a lanyard and pulls the trigger cover off while you draw...

Seems like a big gun for pocket carry. When I pocket carry, it's my LCP in a holster that covers the trigger. I carry my M&P40c & XD40SC in a Crossbreed IWB holster.
