Low impedance are better anyways. Idles so much better and yes, I used EV1 adapters.

i thought you had the adapters. but after buying the injectors and the driver it would have spent the same if not more money.

also this injectors are engineered to work well at idle and part throttle also. that is a big part of the reason they are so expensive.

gotta pay to play ya know

Bob Kurgan recommended 160s when I was planning on making substantially less power. You can always tune down, you can't go up without a purchase.

we made 983rwhp with 75lbs injectors on our KOTS car in 2009.. 30psi, 110octane, dual walbro inline pumps... this was in 5.0 magazine and witnessed by about 2000 people at bowling green on the dyno

this car went on to drive the hotrod power tour and get 26mpg... oh, and this was with a factory ecu too

80's on -10 are good to 1000. But add e85 to the equation. Now you need more.

I'm building around the future not just what's here right now.

ok so im sitting here doing the math and i think that i got to small of injectors :(

i got the ev6 80lbs ford racing injectors for my car. but i plan to make around 900-1000 rwhp with the turbo.

after doing the math im coming up with needing 105 lbs injectors. but i said well hell if going that big maybe i should just jump up to some 120's. what do you guys think?

i will be running 93 octane and 110-116 on a race tune. i dont believe i will run e85 as there is only 1 gas station with in 50 miles of me that carries it.

are the 80's ok

go with some 105's

or get the 120's

lastly... if none of the above then what?

i was going off your original post

I'll know soon enough how much 80's are good for on e85. I'll be running 3 of the new Lethal 340 Div X pumps, Fore Triple Hat with -8 feed and return lines. Since I'll be running 3 of these pumps, I'll increase the base FP to help compensate.

ive already made over 800rwhp 3 times with e85 and 80lbs injectors with 50psi base fuel pressure with no issues... with a turbo and 60psi, it can easily support 900rwhp+

I have Bosch 1600cc high impedance injectors. They idle good and will easily maintain 14.7 a/f at idle.

The Lucas/Disc type low impedance 120's only flow 106 lbs/hr. I had these and calculated they would not make it to 1000rwhp on E85 unless I jacked the fuel pressure way up.

I Love them! i will be selling them in a month or so if your interested.

I have a brand new set in my car. Car is not done yet. My tuner does not like the id1600. He had issues tuning with them. But I've heard the id1000 were great.

He wants me to run ford racing 80's

I run the 105's in my cobra and they've worked excellent so far. The car runs on E85 and made 825rwhp last time on the dyno at 6200rpms. We couldn't pull it higher as the valves would float and power/boost would fall off. Since then I put new springs in the car and should have it back on the dyno shortly. My tuner Ken Bjonnes says there's still room to go with the 105's so we'll see how far we can push it.

I am building a E85/turbo setup right now and I am going to 200lb/hr high Impedence Injectors to be safe they are about $1,000 from Fuel Injector Clinic. I am shooting for 900rwhp thru a 4R70W auto.

How are they for idle quality and other street manors? Any surfing or anything?

My car starts, idles and runs like stock.
No idle hunting nor plug fouling nor any issues at all.

These injectors have a perfectly linear injector curve, many tuners have stated due to this they are some of the easiest to tune.

My car put down 970rwhp on 93 octane before running out of fuel pump.
Should be going back on the dyno soon with the new fuel system.
