I'm finally considering lowering my cobra after owning it for 5 years. The roads around my area are not the best, but I drive carefully as I can. While searching, I have seen some that say the stock cobra coupe struts with H&R race springs work perfectly fine without any trouble (along with CC plates)? I ask this because I see others saying to change the stock struts out for the HDs. My other question is that, my cobra still has the stock struts with 90k miles on it, rather high miles, but they are still in working condition and wondering if my struts are a ticking time bomb if I do lower the car. I'm sure my struts aren't in best/new state, but any info would be great.

I ran my H&R's with stock struts for a year before upgrading. They will work fine but you will notice a huge difference with new struts.

I have 85k on my stock struts, and 15k on my h&r race springs. I've not noticed any degradation what so ever.
