So i've been having this issue with the cobra. She's a 1996 with zero engine mods, only minor exhaust, wheels, etc. She's basicaly stock.
When I got the car, she started up instantly every time, but then a few months after, things changed. I would go to start the car and the starter would turn but the motor wouldn't fire. Usually on the second attempt, the car would start, but it would start up rough and i would have to hold the key cranked over for longer than should be necessary. Well, the problem basically went away for 2 months, and now, the problem is back, only she's doing it every time on a cold start. I replaced the fuel filter recently, no change.
What should I look into? Plugs, wires, coils, what?
That's the first problem, the second:
Whenever I get it started and is still cold, I get this awful squeaking noise from under the hood. i've popped the hood and i can't visualy see anything that gets my attention. It goes away when the car warms up. This problem, like the first, was on and off in the beginning, but now its every time.
