Has anyone removed their hood insulation?

Just curious if any of you have removed your hood insulation? Seems like it's mostly for noise reduction purposes and I wouldn't mind hearing the supercharger whine a little more :rolling: I just don't want to risk causing any damage to the paint or stripes.

I removed mine when I still had my stock hood. It just cleans up the engine bay

I have mine removed and have had no damage seen, been off for a year. Certainly installed for sounds reduction.
