as some of you know I'm getting my tranny in this week and when I took out my clutch to replace the clutch disc I noticed some heat spots on my flywheel. I'm using the Firdanza aluminum flywheel. Would it be beneficial to order the replacement surface disc for it? There are only like 3 heat spots and 2 of them aren't big and the other is a good size. I know hot spots aren't good but do I really need to change it?

Yes!!! If you are installing a new clutch disk, it is advisable to always replace or turn the friction surface. The surface is cheap and comes with new mount hardware. Install, and TQ the hardware in a crisscross pattern to avoid warping the surface.
