heater,turn signals,cruise control stop working

i just bought another contour 98 everything worked on my way home.one of the headlight bulbs broke and blew a fuse. i pulled down the fuse pannle to replace a fuse. and now my heater,turn signals,cruise control stop working. i check fuse pannle and even replaced my heater control pannle.just wondring if there is a ground or something around the fuse pannle that could cause this. thanks for your help

There is a plug on the bottom side of the fuse box that has 2 pins in it and the wires are pretty heavy gauge. if i recall they are red,,it is located in the right front of the box. mine had a similar problem and what had happened is the wires had become hot and melted, and basically melted the inside of teh fuse box.. i had tons of electrtical issues until i replaced the main hot wires in the engine bay that ran from the battery to the engine bay fuse box. they were pretty nasty, all of the plastic coating had melted off
