I ran a Hellcat challenger at the Streetcar takeover this past summer, My car is at over 700hp, don't know what mods he had but i was in front of him for over half track and he nipped me at the finish line. Good race though.

I have a fox.. so a little bit apples to oranges.

But tires tires tires!
I've been beating up on cats for years now.. I'm also on a ET/drag stiff wall.. or hoosier qtp.

20/30 roll...even better, DIG off a light..... they spin and I gap a bus length.
Rinse and repeat.

Make them race YOUR race.
none of that 50/60 roll where they hook and get an advantage

Hell we have bolton e85 s550's beating stock hellcats.
The OP is asking about a 40 roll there is no NA s550 with any bolt on minus nitrous walking away from a hellcat auto. I'm a fan of all these cars and we do a lot of rolls out here. Idk what setup you had on the cobra but I've never seen a 550ish whp cobra or s550 walk away from an auto hellcat on a 40 roll. In person or on YouTube. Not saying it can never happen but this would not be the norm. A stock hellcat is around 650ish whp.

easily doable with any cobra around the 550-600+ hp range.

get a roll race going @ top of 2nd gear, with good tires you'll get em every time
In the 550-600+ range we're not talking about an Eaton cobra anymore.

Custom X that is some interesting video a 500ish whp coyote making up for a 150whp deficit in power on a roll. Like I said that is not typical let me drive that hellcat lol. Where those vids against an auto or manual?

Weight and yes they were all auto's. My car made 538/568 on the eaton and I had no issue pulling away from a stock hellcat.

Here for example is a buddy of mine racing a FBO hellcat from a 60 that made 948whp. His car had an odin blower and made high 700's at this time.

IDK about that. There are countless e85, full bolt on 18+ coyote cars trapping at or near 130... videos similar to the above are plentiful.

Stock hellcats trap mid 120's in SoCal. Ive personally beat a few of them from a roll before i went TT on my Mustang.

35-120, my car (520hp 2V convertible) vs Hellcat Challenger (stock? exhaust popped loud but I don't know). He put a couple cars on me but I like to think if I had a coupe and didn't have to shift with the same hand that held the camera it would have been pretty even.

There is a very long thread on hellcat.org titled something like "how did I get my ass handed to me by an FBO mustang?"

That is pretty much what I've seen auto hellcat vs 500ish whp mustangs. Here is a link with my old setup 650whp 6r80 with light weight wheels 23 degrees timing and we both hook. It's pulling on him but not terrible.

It says the file is to large though only 45 seconds. I can send it to one of you guys that are able to edit it to fit. It's a very good go pro vid. This site has gotten harder to upload photos and vids. Let's see if this one works.

So enough RWHP and TQ is obviously a mandatory prerequisite to be a contender against a stock or lightly modded hellcat, let's say 650 - 700 RWHP for the terminator. The thing about these new cars is the transmission! Damn 8 gears and some 10! Is there anything we can do with our T56 gearbox to compensate? Idk why but I think this but would a drop in rear end gear ratio help us? Stock we are 3:55 but what if we dropped to 3:23? Or is my thinking incorrect? Do we need to go up to 3:73 ? Thank you all again! Stay safe team!

There are kits out there to swap in 4R70's and 6R80's if you want to go auto. Companies like Tick Performance make upgrades for the T-56 or you can swap in a Magnum. All depends on what you want to do. I'm sure even with my slow shifting I'll be able to hold my own against most Hellcats.

Gearing is too subjective to be a one answer for everyone type thing. Tire size, power level, trans type, goals for the car are things that have to be considered when choosing.

A hellcat with a pulley and tune (99% of Hellcat owners) would smash just about every modified 03 Cobra especially from a hi way roll.

U would need 750+ whp to beat a pulley/tune HC which im sure is what some 03 Cobra owners have. Maybe 10% of 03 Cobra owners have 750+ whp but most will be on corn making that power and the HC does it on 93 pump. Most would simply get their ass handed to them.

These Hellcats are monsters from a roll cause they are geared for it plus the auto trans is 10x better then any T56. They go easily low 10's with a pulley and tune which adds like a 100 hp.

This right here As much as it bothers me that this is a fact I have to give credit to new age technology and the Mopar family. Personally I will never convert my cobra into a auto, I don't care how fast it makes me lol just like how I feel about putting a coyote engine in the Terminator. There is always another way of getting things done!
