I'm having trouble getting the throttle cable off the acellerator pedal so I can unbolt the assembly and remove it from the car to replace the pedal on the end. It looks like theres a plastic piece that needs to be forced out the top of the metal part. Is that what you do?? Help!

anyone ever just bolt with gas pedal onto the assembly with a nut and bolt?? I think I'm gonna do that. That foce-in (whatever its called) bolt isn't going back in even with a hammer.

Yeah i was afraid to break it too, but it just pops out. I boiled my clutch and brake pedels to heal them up so they would get on.
