HELP please

I just picked up a cobra with 12,000 miles and i ran fine for the first couple days, but now theres a problem. The engine revs drop and shuts off if u dont give it gas. It sounds fine, works fine if u give it gas, but if u take your foot off the pedal it sputters out. Any ideas?????? :shrug:

Here's a few simple things it could be.
1. Make sure the maf & filter are attached Correctly.
2. Check the maf sensor for filter oil.
3. Make sure the intake tube from the filter housing securley attached to the throttle body.
