I'm almost regretting it. :cryying:

Not because I hate the new car, on the contrary I love it, its just what I need at this junction of my life (4doors and all that). No, not because of the failing of the car, but by the absolutely thickheaded, technically-challeneged, nearsighted, uninformed imbeciles over in the Cadillac forums.

Arrrrrgggggghhhhh

:bash:

I submit for your entertainment these two gems of car-tastic dialoguery:

Gem One

Gem Two.

It might be semi-entertaining reading for some of you - just to see what the geriatric, Deville-driving set know about the performance landscape.

You won't get much assistance on the CTS-V forums. Trust me. I've been researching this heavily.

You're better off on the vette forums. Or, better yet, go here:

http://www.mallettcars.com/

They will take care of everything for you as far as performance goes.

I needed the four doors. Domestic time, and only a two car garage. Again, I love the car.

I just hate knowing I'm now standing over in a crowd of moron co-owners.

I may be one of your co-owners in the next 4-5 months. ;-)

You'll love it PlatinumCobra. Its a great car. Its just the crowd...

Its sorta like getting assigned to a really great Battleship, then finding out the Captain is Gilligan.

Things I learned at CadillacForums.com:

- turbo'd SHOs are so fast they can't be touched on the highway

- NA motors are more sophisticated and efficient than Forced Induction motors

- race only to second gear then let off at 5500 rpm. You're teh win.

- the only GM FI cars were sidewinders

- the z06, Camaro SS, and Transam ram air all use blowers

- If you want a drag car buy yourself a "WRZ" or an EVO, but if you want handling, there's no replacement for displacement.

Mmmm. I feel myself getting smarter by the minute.

It's a good thing the CTS-V doesn't come with a blower. Otherwise, you'd see them grenading everywhere!

Funny, the same thing happend to me. I drove my 03 to FL from NC for Thanksgiving and I had just crossed the FL state line. The road was four lane and I had just left a small town with a 35 mph zone. As I hit the 65 mph zone I accelerated up and wasn't really paying much attention to the 2-3 cars I was passnig in the right hand lane when the front car mashed on it just after I passed. I looked over as he passed me and it was a CTS-V. We were in a rural stretch so I let it loose. I made him look like a BB in about five seconds. It may not have been fair running my 03 with a KB at 600 rwhp but he asked for it.

ROTFLMFAO!!!
Those guys are bozos.
Why the f*ck is a guy who owns a '94 Eldorado on the 'net talking about performance cars?
There are a couple idiots over there, and a few that seem pretty decent.
