HELP!!! Truck is going crazy!!

Well I changed the plugs on the driver side, took a lot of the vacum hoses and junk off for room. THOUGHT i put it all back together right....WRONG!! I turn it on there is a really high wistle, sounds like vacum leak. And the truck climbs to like 2,500 rpm's in 2 secs.(I know it's not theTPS) Then I shut it off because I am scared to see what else is going to happen.

Two questions
1) is there (I remember there was) a online book of step by step "how to" and it has all the vacum hoses in it and where they go.
2) I think I twisted this does it adjust anything just by twisting it?'

Are you sure the throttle linkage is hooked up right and that the t/b isn't opened up some? I don't think the sensor in question can be adjusted btw. Don't be scared to run it, if it throws a code at least you will know what it is.
