Well, my mother in law has a 2000 Mazda 626 with a I4 and an automatic that is stumbling on takeoff. Well she thought it was the trans but after driving im leaning towards the engine misfiring or something like that. It hesistates when you gas it in park and it stumbles exactly the same when you take off in reverse. I would think reverse would be a totally separate issue if first was going out. Dropping it down into passing gear at about 50 made it stumble and threw the check engine light. This is the weird thing, I got the check engine light to come on many times but all it does is blink. Anyone have any ideas?

flux capacitor could be faulty.....lol no its something to do with the intake i am 90% sure. Make sure theres no leaks or bad sensors.
