Help with clutch fork cover

Long story short, I had to replace the clutch cable since it was stock. New cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant. After I installed all those I began to hear a chirp and nasty rattling when reving in idle and 1st and 2nd gear. I fixed the chirping, but the rattle is still there. It only rattles when the dust cover is on. And I noticed the bottom of the fork is scraping the cover.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is it really not needed? I know its to protect it. Is that all its for?

Probably just go keep water and debris out. You can't use the cover on any one of the aftermarket SFI bells.

Alright. Its just weird how the fork started scraping the cover after I put the new cable, adjuster and quadrant.

I'd shine a flashlight inside and make sure the clutch fork isn't misaligned on the pivot ball.
