Trying to install a motor with kooks 1 7/8" primaries and 3" collectors on a 99 cobra. We couldn't get the motor trans and headers in all together. We just dropped in the motor with no trans and the drivers side header off the engine. Now we have the drivers side header up to where it needs to be, but I can't see a way for the steering shaft to fit back on. Right now the steering shaft is disconnected from the rack. This is also with a Maximum Motorsports tubular K-member.

You just have to work with it, its a really tight squeeze but it will fit
I know it's a tight fight. Been wrestling it for hours. How does the steering shaft fit with these headers? Around them? Through them?
Not sure on the Kooks, and you probably don't want to hear this, but I'm pretty sure with my Hookers, I ran the shaft through the headers before dropping the engine in. Then I connected the two joints after the fact. It's been a while and memory is fuzzy. Hope that helps a little anyway.
yes they go in between the pipes and its a pain to do with them in the car
