Help - Write up Please

Hey guys,

I searched and there is not even 1 write up on how to re-seal your rear differential.

thats all im looking for. pix would be helpful.

can i just do it on ramps? im guessing the car has to be level tho.. :fm:

You're going to need these:

Torque Specs in Ft-lbs and Wrench Size

Rear axle nut 240 36mm
ABS Sensor 17 T40 or 1/2"
Tie Rod end 35 18mm
Shock Lower 98 18mm
Knuckle Upper 66 18mm
Knuckle Lower 85 18mm
Lug Nuts 95 13/16"
Diff Housing Cover 24 13mm
Filler Plug 25 3/8" squarei
Pumplin Front 52 18mm
Pumpkin Rear 76 15mm
Driveshaft 83 12mm 12 point

I would pull the diff, but I have heard it can be done in the car. Basically get the cover off. Clean it up. Use a razor blade and some brake clean. Use permatex ultra gray to reseal. Put the cover back on and torque the bolts. Wait 24 hrs for the goop to cure and refill with 1.5 quarts of 75w140.
