Up for sale is my 2004 Cobra Vert with 210k miles. When I purchased it definitely needed a clutch and some work, but I just wanted to daily it and eventually tear down and rebuild. Some things happening in my life that require me to sell so I am listing for 14,000. Firm. I have a folder with receipts for all parts I have purchased and invoices for parts and labor from the shop that worked on it. So here we go.

Needs:
Convertible top ( current one leaks)
Alignment
Brake pads and rotors wouldn’t hurt
Reupholstered
Door hinges ( current doors have slight sag)
Shift boot
Driver sun visor( replaced passenger)

New parts installed:
New McCleod Twin Disk clutch- 10 miles
New McCleod clutch fork
New clutch pivot ball
New hurst stick and shift ball
New clutch cable with firewall adjuster
New MMR Billet timing chain guides
New MMR billet Secondary tensioners
New MMR heavy duty secondary chains
New MMR Billet oil pump gear
New MMR Billet crank gear
New cloyes primary timing chain
New cloyes cam gears
New Ford Iron primary tensioners
New crank seal
New timing cover gasket
New oil pump
New water pump
New thermostat
New gates green belt
New spark plugs
New valve cover gaskets
New oil pan gasket
New rear main seal
New pinion seal
New Afco heat exchanger (previous owner)
New tail lights ( previous owner)
New rear window motors
New battery
New bumper cover w/fresh paint
New Mach1 Chin spoiler
Rebuilt ABS module- low mileage ABS pump-33k miles
Fresh oil change
Fresh coolant
Trans flush and fresh fluid

Car has a Borla catback system, JLT intake, believe a Metco bridge with 4lb lower and a 3” upper pulley. Pulley measures just over 3” outside measurement. Belt was 77-7/16.
Chart I looked up says that combo for that belt. Previous belt was same size. Carfax included from pre my purchase.
Car has some kind of weird security shut off button. I haven’t messed with it because I don’t want to screw it up.

So, some may remember this cobra for sale at the beginning of the year. It’s a 2004 Cobra Vert with 210k miles. When I purchased it definitely needed a clutch and some work, but I just wanted to daily it and eventually tear down and rebuild. I am embarrassed to say how much money I have actually put into the car in the last 6-7 months. Some things happening in my life that require me to sell so I am listing for 16,500 and will wait for the laughs to begin. I have a folder with receipts for all parts I have purchased and invoices for parts and labor from the shop that worked on it. So here we go.

Convertible top ( current one leaks)
Alignment

New MMR heavy duty secondary chains
New MMR Billet oil pump gear
New MMR Billet crank gear
New cloyes primary timing chain
New cloyes cam gears
New Ford Iron primary tensioners
New crank seal
New timing cover gasket
New oil pump
New water pump
New thermostat
New gates green belt
New spark plugs
New valve cover gaskets
New oil pan gasket
New rear main seal
New pinion seal
New Afco heat exchanger (previous owner)

Car has a Borla catback system, JLT intake, believe a Metco bridge with 4lb lower and a 3” upper pulley. Pulley measures just over 3” outside measurement. Belt was 77-7/16.

Personally, I wouldn’t worry too much about what people say. The problem with replacing a lot of parts that you have replaced is that most of them are just getting the car back to good working order. While it means a lot to you, it doesn’t typically mean a lot to a potential buyer. It should, but most of the time it doesn’t ( in my experience).
There aren’t too many Terminators that aren’t pounded into the ground in that price range and for someone who really wants one and is on a limited budget, that could be a good car for them.
I don’t want to speculate or sour your post by mentioning price, but forgive me if I can’t help myself. I think if you are willing to negotiate down a couple of grand you probably blow that out the door pretty quickly. GLWS!

I agree with your sentiment OP. I also think your asking price is fair.

I also have a silver 03 Vert and when I purchased the car it needed some TLC.

I don't know what it is, but people don't tend to take care of the silver Verts.

Good luck with your sale.

Had the car been in an accident? Just wondering why you have a new bumper and brackets for it.

The tabs on the original I’m assuming were damaged taking the bumper cover off, so they have been cut and they tuck into some kind of quick removal bracket. No accidents on Carfax and none that I have been made aware of. I will add pictures this afternoon.

Does the car run and drive? If so, post some videos. It would help with putting people’s mind at ease.

Engine cold, 147-150 all cylinders. I have a compression test kit here at home so I didn’t take it to have done. I was planning to do so , so that way it was on a work order from a shop…obviously carries more weight

Final price reduction. Car gets trailered to VA in June if not sold and will be disassembled for rebuilding after that. 13,500. Will post video of cold start I made for potential buyer recently. Driving video to come.
