i went to test drive/check out a 1994 Honda Accord with the inline 4 cylinder 2.2L. Has 108K on it and no rust/garage kept.
Heres the thing.. it runs great but the engine makes a ticking sound (almost like a piston slapping sound. it increases with rpm. at idle it is not there but once you give it throttle it makes that sound (almost like a lifter hitting the valve covere) or a thrown knocking rod; Drives good though. maint. kept up. looked in oil and looks clean. new oil.
what is this sound? normal to 4 bangers? should i be worried
