Just got this from Home Depot. Anyone know what the fix is? I don't want to go without my mower if I do not have to.

It means the rope might kick back when you pull it. Unreal the pussies around. My weed wackers do that all the time.

Interesting recall. The camshaft configuration apparently causes quicker engine starting. It appears that the engine starts in mid pull of the cord, thus yanking back the pull cord when you have the firmest most optimum arm and shoulder motion. I have experienced this phenomenon pull starting a diesel Yanmar Gen.set. it quickly educates you into using two arms, as you should to avoid shoulder injuries.

The same occurrence happened in the turn of the century with crank start cars and tractors. In order to start the engine you would have to insert the crank into the end of the crankshaft and give just one hard pull up. If you tried to crank it like jack in the box, you get your hand chopped off.
