Is it safe to remove the hood blanket?
My hood was fully painted under the blanket and looks fine but will the heat from the heaton/engine cause any damage to the paint/hood?

I agree pull it, just make sure before you go ripping it off the underside of your hood is painted, not everyone is as lucky as me.

I also have my blanket removed, it hasn't been too long, maybe a couple thousand miles or so. But no problems here either.

I already stated my hood was painted, looks just like the top of the hood, no markings nothing, looks great.

this has been beat to death. if you want your hood to work more effeicent then remove it. less heat under the hood with no issues.

I'm one of the lucky ones in that the underside of my hood is painted, but I like the look of a very clean blanket with no stains (re: painted black!) with a well done cut-out with flex trim around the edges......... Think the hood blanket mod really looks sharp when done right...........

Look under your hood at the vents and then tell me what you think.

I ripped off the blanket and the vent flaps.
