I have had issues with having to drop my hood in order for it to close. Not only did I hate the fact that I had to see it slam down but it the pressure was also puncturing my hood blanket. I took it to the dealer and they lubed and adjusted the latch and now it closes by simply pushing it down with one hand! They also replaced my hood blanket with a new one!
