hood vent mods....

can anyone tell me what all the talk is about the hood mods on the '03 cobra's? i have heard so much talk yet i'm in the dark....can anyone help?

The hood has vents on it. The problem is that the underside is mostly blocked. I have cut the underside mat and removed the plastic panels that block the vents to allow for more ventilation. The one thing that everyone is looking for best method for is sealing the hood mat on it's freshly cut edges. I have found that rubberized undercoating works well and covers up the jagged edges. Plus is waterproofs it. Then I just spray black paint on it to match the hood mat.

I used black duct tape. Holding up to the heat so far.

Check my sig for the mod. I used fiberglass resin to create a hard border around the hole.
