Who out there actually likes what they do for a living?

I know I hate my job. I just wonder if anyone else is as miserable as I am for 40+ hours a week. :cuss:

I don't think anyone says that poopnut.

I like mine a lot though. Mine isn't really like working i sell old muscle cars so i come in answer some emails. Then go work on some old car or tinker with what ever i am driving at the time. Pretty cool. Also on fridays we start drinking around 4:00 so the last hour and a half are real fun.

I actually love my job. I enjoy designing future combat aircraft (manned and unmanned) for the Navy and the Air Force. Great working environment, love the flex hours, excellent pay and benefits.

Even though I am salaried, I only work 40 hr per week and if I have to work OT, I get paid for those OT hours. I also get to go onboard some of the aircraft carriers to see the classified spaces for work. I don't have any complaints about my work.

EDIT: Just to make clarification, I don't work for the government, I work for an aerospace company. :)

I enjoy my job a lot. I actually don't mind coming to work everyday, and I go home happy everyday. Nothing wrong with that. I do networking for CSC with the Air Force.

I like my job... I don't have any supervision, I can do whatever I want when I'm not busy, and work with very little customers. The only part I don't like is that I work 20hrs a week (I'm in school, so its enough, but I'd like more)

I'm a habilitation training specialist with MAT training. I work with people who're developmentally disabled (or "retarded" if you prefer). It's challenging and REALLY frustrating at times, but I like it overall. It feels good to know the person you work with actually appreciates what you do for them, and that you're making a positive difference.

But sometimes I do want to rip my hair out and scream. I work 44 hours on the weekend and go to college full time during the week. It would be nice to have some time off. :(

I love my job, i honestly could not ask for anything better at this point in my life. I am a bond trader for a mortgage firm and i am the sole manager of a $500 million portfolio of government loans. It's pretty sweet, especially since i've only been out of school for a year. Its got its perks as well, such as tee time at Pebble Beach next month.

My job burned me out on cars, which is what I love, but when I have a good day, I have a really good day. I enjoy being around all of the people here. My bosses are both hilarious, as is our tech, and I'm able to network all over Pensacola through the shop. If you know that guy who knows everyone.. that's me.

The pay could be better, but it also could be worse. All in all, it's about an 8/10.

Im the Manager of a Video Game Store(also going to school). Nothing Better then coming in and testing all the new video games and also playing our imported PSP(Ridge Racer is addicting). Plus being a manager of the store, the company flys all of us store directors out to Las Vegas for 4 days to do nothing but play new video games that arent even out yet(like a mini E3, but for our company only), plus i get alot of free stuff. I cant complain, i dont ever have a "hard" day at work.

HHAHAHA! No joke man..

I like my job. I get to work outside in the great weather, and when it rains, I don't work. What more could you ask for? $8/hr isn't much, but when your 17 it pays the bills!

I made 8/hr at my old job and put in between 40-50 hours a week. I came home with about 300 dollars A WEEK.. so.. yeah, at 22 that would pay my bills and THEN some.

Right now I'm only working 15-20 hours a week but during the summer I pull in $450 every 2 weeks. Let the modding begin by July!!

i'm a pc/network tech

i like my job.

my boss will let me do anything, I have almost zero supervision.

what makes people like their job is not the money, but the people you work with. Everyone I work with is great.

the only down fall is that every other county pays more...a decent amount more for the same position.

but my county is working on it :)
