How much Fluid ?

Getting my clutch installed with a 26 Spline input shaft. I was wanting to know how much fluid the transmision holds. Thanx

If you go to the amsoil site they have the break down of many cars, trans,
motor and dif. FYI

On a drain and fill, 4qts will be plenty.

Should I use Syncromesh? I was just going to use Royal Purple Dex/Merc.

I'd use the Pennzoil Sychromesh, my tranny shifted much better with it.

Never tried the Royal Purple, I have the GM Syncromesh in mine and it works fine. I don't see a need to try anything else, but RP seems to have good stuff from what i've seen/heard/read although some will disagree.

I researched it before replacing mine a while ago and people seemed to have the best luck with the syncromesh and it has been recommended by Tremic if I remember correctly, but don't quote me on that.
